Higher Education: Opportunities for Hands-On Learning in the Community

GPP WorkPrep and Workplace programs provide an excellent opportunity for college students to teach and interact with local youth through mentoring and life skills instruction in a structured program.  College, technical school, and graduate students are excellent role models, mentors, and facilitators for GPP students.  GPP collaborates with a variety of post-secondary programs and classes including education, business, counseling, public administration, student affairs, and social work.

Campus visits to colleges, technical schools, universities and other institutes of higher education are an important opportunity for GPP students to learn about future educational opportunities and careers.

Finally, institutes of higher education are also vital community partners and 12 for Life Workplace employers for local GPP programs.
